Former Champion Hasn’t Heard From WWE About Return, ‘Not Holding Their Breath’

Brie Bella has commented on a potential WWE return, over two months after her sister Nikki’s appearance in the 2025 women’s Royal Rumble.

Shortly after Nikki Bella returned to WWE as a surprise entrant at the number 30 spot of this year’s women’s Royal Rumble match, fans began speculating regarding whether her twin sister and fellow Hall of Famer Brie would soon follow suit.

While Nikki hasn’t been back on TV since the Rumble, she has confirmed that more WWE appearances are in her future.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio earlier this week, Nikki said she was “waiting” on Brie joining her before they collectively make their return to WWE as The Bella Twins.

During a recent episode of the Nikki & Brie Show over WrestleMania weekend, the topic of a Brie Bella WWE return was once again brought up while the pair were chatting with special guest Nia Jax.

When discussing ideas for Tiffany Stratton vs. Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania, Brie pitched the idea of lumberjills being added to the match, an idea that Nikki and Nia both said they loved.

In response, Brie said:

“WWE, call me, I’ll join creative. They haven’t called. If you guys want to call.”

Later in the episode, the topic of Brie’s return was once again brought up, with Jax saying:

“When you guys come back, I can kick both your asses.”

Nikki said:

“She’s still waiting for a call. We’re all waiting for something.”

Brie then commented:

“Not going to hold my breath, let me tell you.”

It’s unclear whether Brie will be back on WWE television alongside Nikki in 2025, with her last match for the company being the 2022 women’s Royal Rumble match.

In the time since her last WWE appearance Brie has appeared on AEW programming, being shown in the crowd at All In London 2024 for her husband Bryan Danielson’s AEW World Championship win – as well as joining him in the ring for the post match celebrations along with their children.
