Ahead of the CW premiere episode, former NXT Champion Trick Williams has discussed a potential WWE main roster call-up.
NXT is set to move to The CW Network starting with the October 1 edition from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. The main event of the episode will be Ethan Page defending the NXT Championship against Trick Williams with CM Punk as the special guest referee.
In a new interview for Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Trick Williams was asked about a potential WWE main roster call-up. He replied:
“I think about it all the time, but I’m happy where my feet are,”
“I mean, NXT is on fire right now, arguably one of the better times NXT has ever seen. So with that, I’m proud to be here. I’m proud to be the face of NXT.”
“Why are we going to CW? Why we got the biggest TV deal NXT has ever gotten? Why are we doing this traveling and stuff now? I’m part of it, and it feels good to say, hey, we part of something special here.”
Tonight’s CW premiere episode will kick off with Roxanne Perez defending the NXT Women’s Championship against Giulia.
