Former Champion’s WWE Return ‘Right Around The Corner’

A former multi-time world champion’s return to WWE program in reportedly “right around the corner” ahead of a major premium live event.

With WWE Evolution making its big return after seven years away on Sunday, July 13, fans have been speculating regarding which stars from WWE’s past may be in line to reemerge ahead of the show.

We’ve already seen WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella make her return to television this month, and according to WrestleVotes we may soon see another legend back on television imminently, that being former seven-time WWE Women’s Champion Trish Stratus.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, the announcement of Stratus’ return to WWE was originally planned was originally planned for the June 13 episode of SmackDown, however, this was scrapped:

“We are told the return of Trish Stratus is also right around the corner, as the announcement of her return was planned and scripted into the 6/13 episode of Friday night SmackDown.

“According to a source, the announcement of her return and accompanying graphics were set to air prior to John Cena’s second promo of the night.”

It was then noted that, while the announcement was scrapped, Stratus’ return is still “in the books”, with the Hall of Famer set to be a part of WWE Evolution on July 13.

It’s not yet known when Stratus will return to television or what WWE has in store for her at Evolution, but we will provide updates if more news becomes available.
