Former Champion Sides With John Cena Against ‘Awful’ WWE Audience WWE

A former champion has sided with John Cena against the “awful” people within the WWE audience.

On Monday’s episode of WWE Raw in Brussels, Belgium, John Cena broke his silence regarding his stunning heel turn at Elimination Chamber 2025.

Launching a heated tirade against the fans both inside Brussels’ Forest National and worldwide, Cena spoke of being in an abusive relationship with the audience for 25 years, but that he was now “breaking up” with each and every one of the fans, including his own supporters.

While Cena’s words on Monday led to him being called a “whiny bitch” by his WrestleMania 41 opponent Cody Rhodes, another member of the WWE roster was far more sympathetic to Cena’s “bullying” from the audience.

Taking to Twitter, The New Day’s Kofi Kingston shared a clip of Cena’s promo, while also voicing his agreement in everything the 16-time former world champion said.

Kingston wrote:

Not. A. Single. Lie. Told. You people have been AWFUL.

While not quite as long a gap as the 22 years since Cena’s last heel run, Kingston and his New Day tag partner Xavier Woods recently turned heel for the first time in almost a decade on the December 2, 2024 episode of Raw, where they painfully ended their friendship with Big E.
