With Extreme Rules less than a week away the card should be pretty much set by now. But it would seem that the pay-per-view will be missing one of its most accomplished former champions (other than Brock Lesner.)

As stated by WWE earlier this week, the Miz will be in Washington D.C the day of Extreme Rules, participating in MLB All-Star Legends & Celebrity Softball Game at Nationals Park. The game itself will comprise of former MLB players, actors, musicians, athletes from other sports, and anyone of notable worth, all teaming together for a friendly contest which will be filmed and aired a day later on ESPN.
However, the Miz’s involvement at Extreme Rules is not yet ruled out. According to the ProWrestling.com, there is a potential angle set for the show which would involve him costing Team Hell No their tag title opportunity. Thus, setting up the long-anticipated Daniel Bryan Vs Miz feud for SummerSlam.
Theoretically. If WWE flew Miz from Washington to Pittsburgh after the game and pushed the Smackdown Live Tag Team Championship Match towards the end of the show, this could be a possibility. Realistically, it’s extremely unlikely (at least with Miz being there in a physical sense.)
