Former Champion Wants WWE In-Ring Return WWE

ECW legend and WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam has teased a possible future match after last night’s episode of NXT.

RVD was backstage giving advice to Kelani Jordan before her match on the November 6 episode of WWE NXT.

Footage from the segment can be seen below this news story, with Wes Lee attacking RVD with a steel chair shortly thereafter.

This wouldn’t stop RVD making his presence felt during the match between Lee and Je’Von Evans, as can also be seen below this news story.

With a fan saying that he wished RVD had a match on last night’s show, Van Dam would respond with a tease, tweeting:

“Me too. But I’ll be back.”

At the time of writing, no confirmation has been given as to when or if we’ll see RVD back in a WWE ring.

RVD’s last match took place on the April 20 episode of AEW Rampage in a High Flying 4/20 Elimination Four Way match which saw him victorious over Isiah Kassidy, Komander and Lee Johnson.

His last televised WWE match took place back in August 2014 on SmackDown beating Seth Rollins.

Rob Van Dam was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2021.
