A former champion has confirmed that they are now officially signed to a legends contract with WWE.
Last year it was speculated that former two-time WWE Intercontinental Champion Ken Shamrock had come to some kind of agreement with WWE after new merchandise of his was spotted on WWE Shop.
While it was suspected that The World’s Most Dangerous Man had signed a legends deal with the company, this has now been confirmed by Shamrock himself in a recent appearance on Insight with Chris Van Vliet.
Shamrock explained::
“I’ve had a relationship with them forever. Even since I went away. We did a Legends Contract. It’s one of those things where I think I spent enough time there and did enough there where I feel like I’m part of that family forever.”
Van Vliet would then ask to confirm Shamrock was under a legends contract currently with WWE, to which he confirmed:
“I am, yes. They’re constantly always putting stuff out. It’s been a good thing.”
Shamrock hasn’t appeared on WWE TV since losing a First Blood match to Chris Jericho on the September 21, 1999 episode of SmackDown.
As well as new WWE merchandise being released, Shamrock also features as a playable character in WWE 2K24.
