Former Champions Promise WWE Return

While they may never have been the most gifted in-ring performers during their spells with WWE, The Bella Twins are certainly two of the most popular women ever to have wrestled for Vince McMahon.

You could say their fame inside the ring has been eclipsed by their reality TV work outside of WWE, but it seems Brie and Nikki still have plans to make at least one more return to wrestling.

Speaking on Ellen (hosted by Mario Lopez), Nikki and Brie revealed that they want to return to WWE once their kids are a bit older.

“Recently, WWE made their huge announcement about WrestleMania for the next three years. When I heard about Dallas in 2022 and Hollywood in 2023, I got chills and was like, ‘Brie, we have never gone after the Tag Titles. They were made for us.’ There’s another run in the Bella Twins. Maybe in Dallas, WrestleMania. At some point, we’re coming back.”

Brie added:

“I had this moment when I wrestled Stephanie McMahon at SummerSlam [2014]. When we came back after our match, her three little girls were in Gorilla. To see their faces when we came through the curtain, they were like [crying] ‘MOM!’ The goosebumps, the tears, they just looked at their mom like she was a superhero and I really want to wrestle in front of [Nikki’s son] Matteo, [her children] Buddy, and Birdie and then come back and them look at me the same way Stephanie’s daughters looked at her. I feel like in two years. Let the boys be two. “

Brie and Nikki were supposed to be inducted in the Hall of Fame last year, but the ceremony was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
