Five-time IMPACT Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne announced her retirement during the pre-show for Hard To Kill last night.
This was to be expected as IMPACT had announced a new announce team last week and rumours were that Rayne was leaving wrestling to pursue other endeavours.
She and real-life husband Josh Mathews had been doing commentary throughout the pandemic.
The new announcing duo that debuted on last night’s pay-per-view was Matt Striker and D-Lo Brown, who had both been working backstage for the promotion.
Mathews himself has been promoted to senior producer so he’ll be remaining with the company in a backstage capacity too.
Last night’s show saw the debut of Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) and Kenny Omega, Doc Gallows & Karl Anderson beat Rich Swann, Chris Sabin & Moose in the main event.
