Former IMPACT World Champion Gets Married

WWE’s Summerslam may call itself “The Biggest Party of the Summer”, but it wasn’t the only wrestling-related party that happened this weekend. Celebration was had when former IMPACT World Champion Tessa Blanchard got married.

Several wrestlers were in attendance for the ceremony and festivities, which took place in Tijuana, including AEW’s Brian Cage, who shared a picture on his Instagram with the happy couple.

IMPACT wrestler Taya Valkyrie, who was also in attendance, posted various photos and videos on her instagram account, including a video of the couple’s first dance.

Tessa made wrestling headlines in recent months by not only becoming the first woman to win the IMPACT World Championship, but also when she was stripped of the title for failing to send promo videos to the company in time while she was living in Mexico during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown. Her future wrestling plans are currently unknown but much speculated about.

Tessa’s new husband, Daga, is currently under contract with IMPACT and with Lucha Libre AAA, where he is the AAA Latin American Champion.

The newlyweds, who currently reside in Mexico, announced their engagement on social media in November. Tessa captioned the photo, “My whole heart for my whole life.❤️”
