A former IMPACT World Champion has decided to re-sign with the company.
In 2020, Eric Young was released from WWE after four years with the promotion. After his non-compete clause, Young returned to IMPACT Wrestling and has once again become a mainstay for the company.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Eric Young has extended his contract with IMPACT to at least the end of 2022.
Upon his return to IMPACT in 2020, it was revealed that he’d signed a “multi-year contract” with the promotion. However, the deal didn’t run out this summer and was extended until the end of the year.
EY won the IMPACT World Championship shortly after his return in 2020.
Young is currently the leader of the Violent By Design stable with Deaner. The group formerly included Joe Doering before the big man decided to step away after being diagnosed with brain cancer.
The report also notes that Decay’s Crazzy Steve also signed a new multi-year deal with the promotion.
As previously reported, a Bullet Club member also recently re-signed with IMPACT Wrestling, which you can read here.
