Former Impact World Champion Eddie Edwards has signed a new long-term deal with the company, as was announced on Impact’s Twitter earlier today.
You can watch the live announcement here. It involves Josh Mathews being awkward, which is always entertaining, and Eddie Edwards having some sort of relations with a kendo stick:

As well as being a former World Champion, Edwards is also a two-time X-Division Champion and five-time World Tag Team Champion, which amounted to him becoming the eighth Triple Crown Champion in Impact history.
Eddie started his Impact career in 2014, and after the Sami Callihan incident you might remember from some time ago that involved him being legit smashed in the face with a baseball bat, he became a bit of a mentalist. He now carries around a kendo stick named “Kenny”, which was given to him by Tommy Dreamer after their match at Slammiversary last year, and is an expert at making really weird faces. As well as being a top wrestler, of course. In today’s climate with the likes of AEW around and on the hunt for talent, this really is excellent news for Impact Wrestling.
