Former NXT Feud Coming To Main Roster?

Former NXT Feud Coming To Main Roster? WWE

Is a former NXT feud about to erupt on the main roster? Find out what happened after tonight’s WWE SmackDown went off the air!

Earlier in the show, NXT fan favorite heel Grayson Waller made his main roster SmackDown television debut, approaching Adam Pearce backstage.

With the proposition that he get to interview the winner of the night’s main event match between AJ Styles and Bobby Lashley, Waller suggested bringing his chat show, The Grayson Waller Effect, to SmackDown.

Adam Pearce obliged, noting that the segment would happen on next week’s episode of SmackDown.

However as the main event unfolded, it became a bit clearer why the segment could have been shored up in the first place.

Besting Bobby Lashley in the main event, not only will AJ Styles face off against Seth Rollins to become the inaugural WWE World Heavyweight Champion however first, he’ll meet a former foe.

If you weren’t an avid watched of NXT, you could have missed that actually Grayson Waller has already feuded with AJ Styles, having some main roster crossover prior to his official call up.

Waller writing on Twitter:

“See you next week old mate #SmackDown”

However this time not only is Waller not in his own element, Styles doesn’t run alone!

Coming out to celebrate his semi-final victory to close tonight’s edition of WWE SmackDown, AJ Styles’ faction mates Michin Mia Yim, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows, collectively called The O.C., were there to pump up the winner.

And presumably will be there to slap the taste out of Grayson Waller’s mouth if things go sideways!

Elsewhere on tonight’s show, a shocking Roman Reigns match was announced for Night of Champions on May 27, 2023 live from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

Also another recent NXT call up not only won his debut match on SmackDown television, he did it mere seconds. You can click here to read more about that.
