
A former NXT star who WWE reportedly has interest in bringing back to the company has made his AEW debut today.
Earlier this month, reports emerged that WWE had interest in bringing in MLW star EJ Nduka.
Nduka was a member of the NXT roster under the name Ezra Judge prior to his release in May 2021.
Nduka recently lost the MLW Tag Team Championship alongside Calvin Tankman to Lance Anoa’i and Juicy Finau of the Samoan Swat Team, which sparked more speculation that he was WWE bound.
However, there had reportedly also been interest in Nduka from AEW, as well as several Japanese promotions.
At tonight’s (January 28) AEW Dark tapings from Universal Studios, Nduka made his AEW debut, taking on Konosuke Takeshita in singles action.
While obviously numerous unsigned names appear on AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation weekly, the timing of his appearance on Dark is very interesting.
