Last night on Monday Night Raw, Liv Morgan defeated Lana in a fairly convincing manner in the opening match of the show. This comes after Morgan also defeated Lana on last week’s show.
While the match was pretty uninspiring, the angle that took place after the bout will likely have people talking.
As Liv Morgan was celebrating in the ring, the Riott Squad’s music hit and Ruby Riott made her way down to the ring. This is the first time we have seen Ruby on Raw since April 2019.
Just as it looked like Ruby was about to reunite the Riott Squad with Liv Morgan, she attacked her former stablemate and laid her out. Ruby then left the ring, allowing Lana to hit Liv with a facebuster to continue their feud.
It remains to be seen how Ruby Riott is going to play into the Liv Morgan and Lana feud. However, it is quite likely that WWE has no plans for her in his story and just had here return here to establish her as a heel.
The fact that his show took place eight days after the Royal Rumble makes you question why WWE didn’t have Riott as a surprise return in the women’s Royal Rumble, something that would have been more impactful for the talented worker.
