WWE
An update has emerged on a former NXT star potentially making their return to WWE and the Performance Center setup.
A number of women on the indies have confirmed their participation in some upcoming WWE tryouts.
One of the notable names is Notorious Mimi, who posted today:
it’s time‼️ @WWERecruit
in all seriousness i’m so excited to show everyone how much i’ve grown since the last time you all saw me on tv 🩷🧜🏻♀️
Mimi’s inclusion in the tryouts is noteworthy as she was actually previously signed to WWE a few years ago as a teenager.
Making her wrestling debut on the indies in 2018, she took part in WWE tryouts in late 2021 and officially started with WWE in March 2022, working in NXT under the name Sloane Jacobs.
She was part of the same recruitment class as Roxanne Perez, Kiana James, Fallon Henley, Thea Hail, Arianna Grace, Sol Ruca, Hank Walker, Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo and Myles Borne.
She never won a match on NXT TV, but did score some wins on Level Up including victories against Thea Hail and Sierra St Pierre (Avery Breaux).
She was then released in November 2022 and returned to working on the indies, going back to the Notorious Mimi name.
Other names confirmed for the upcoming tryouts include Nikki Blackheart, Valentina Rossi and Airica Demia.
