Former ROH Star Says They Made Six-Man Wrestling Relevant ROH

A former ROH star says they made six-man wrestling relevant.

Following a stint in Ring of Honor, Kaun found his way to All Elite Wrestling and has quickly become aligned with Prince Nana, Toa Liona and Brian Cage in the Embassy.

Prior to this run in the Embassy, Kaun was part of the Shane Taylor Promotions alongside Shane Taylor and Moses. The trio held the ROH World Six-Man Titles for nearly 300 days during the pandemic era.

Their reign ended at ROH Final Battle 2021 right before the company went on hiatus and was purchased by AEW President Tony Khan.

Appearing at MCW Backstage Pass, Kaun recalled being part of Shane Taylor Promotions.

He said:

“Myself, Moses, and Shane Taylor made six-man wrestling relevant again by a historic six-man title reign with the Ring of Honor six-man championships.”

“Undefeated until the very end. Greatest six-man unit of all-time. They’ve never seen anybody like us before. We made six-mans relevant again. AEW has their own Trios Titles, I think it’s all because of what we did.”

Kaun also discussed his time with All Elite Wrestling, saying:

“Back in February, myself and Toa got signed and the plans laid out for us. Brian Cage involved.”

“Some shuffling happened with TBE [Tully Blanchard Enterprises], (Jonathan) Gresham and Tully, eventually Prince Nana used his riches to buy TBE and we became the new Embassy.”

“Since then, got opportunities to face Wardlow for the TNT Title with Brian Cage, we faced FTR.”

AEW introduced their Trios Titles at All Out when Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks of The Elite defeated Hangman Page, Alex Reynolds and John Silver to become the inaugural champions.

The Elite were subsequently stripped of the titles following their reported backstage fight with CM Punk following All Out. Death Triangle would go on to defeat Best Friends to win the titles on the September 7 edition of AEW Dynamite.

Death Triangle defeated The Elite to retain the AEW World Trios Championship at Full Gear this past Saturday.
