A former WWE star has teased a popular AEW star’s potential jump to the company.
CJ Perry, better known as Lana during her time in WWE, recently found herself back in the headlines after she revealed her earnings on private content websites following her release from the company.
Perry and her husband Miro, then known as Rusev, spent several years with WWE. Despite being a prominent part of the company’s TV, Rusev was released in April 2020.
Meanwhile, Lana was eventually released in 2021. Since then, Miro signed with All Elite Wrestling and is a former TNT Champion, but he has only worked four matches in 2022.
Speaking with Mike Wennmacher from 92.7 WMAY, Perry was asked about potentially returning to WWE. She answered:
“Well, you know, it so happens that the Redeemer is fighting on some battlefields against a couple of Gods,” said CJ. “Rusev Day will never die.”
“It’s always going to be around, the kids are going to want to sing it and I’m sure it will make a return in WWE at some point.”
“Rusev — well, whatever he shows [up] back in; whatever frickin name or gimmick or character he returns [as] at some point, in WWE is going to be iconic.”
“You know, he, that’s the great thing about wrestling is it doesn’t matter what company you work for, what promotion, anything can happen. Let’s be honest, we know that everyone always returns back to WWE at some point.”
As previously reported, Miro has expressed his desire to return to All Elite Wrestling in a recent interview.
