A former world champion has commented on their move over to a new brand as part of the ongoing WWE transfer window.
The ongoing WWE transfer window has teased a number of potential brand switches for WWE stars in recent weeks, with names such as Chad Gable, Gunther and Nia Jax all teasing a potential switch.
Until last night, Bayley, the Wyatt Sicks and Braun Strowman were the only two people to switch brands, but the transfer window kicked into a new gear on last night’s SmackDown show.
The show saw Austin Theory and Grayson Waller move over to Raw, while The Miz and Damian Priest were both moved to SmackDown, with Priest picking up his first win on the SmackDown brand on the show over Carmelo Hayes.
In a post-show interview, Priest commented on moving over to the SmackDown brand for the first time in his career.
He said:
“It’s been a big one, man. Four years in WWE, all Monday Night Raw. I feel like this is the right time to move. I accomplished everything that I wanted to accomplish on Monday Night Raw. World Champion, United States Champion, multiple-time tag team champion.
“Now, it’s time for something new, a new challenge, new rivals. I’m here on SmackDown, ready to take them all on.”
