A new report has revealed former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander has been discussed for the WWE and TNA crossover.
Since June, WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling has been in the midst of a talent exchange relationship that has seen various stars show up in the other companies.
TNA’s Jordynne Grace, Joe Hendry, The Rascalz, Frankie Kazarian and Ash By Elegance have all appeared on WWE NXT TV. Meanwhile, No Quarter Catch Crew, Tatum Paxley, Izzi Dame and Wes Lee have made appearances on TNA programming.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that former TNA World Champion Josh Alexander has been discussed as appearing as part of the crossover between the two promotions.
The report notes that some backstage have even suggested that Alexander could make an appearance on tonight’s August 6 NXT Great American Bash Night 2 special.
Alexander recently turned heel on Joe Hendry during the TNA World Championship six-way main event at the Slammiversary pay-per-view.
“The Walking Weapon” could get involved when Hendry faces Joe Coffey of Gallus on tonight’s show.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Josh Alexander’s WWE NXT status when they become available.
