Former WWE World Champion Makes Surprise AAA Appearance, Champion Makes History At Rey De Reyes WWE

A former WWE World Champion made a surprise appearance at tonight’s AAA Rey de Reyes, taking part in a championship match.

Last week on AAA on FOX, AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Flammer of Las Toxicas issued an open challenge for the Rey de Reyes event in Puebla.

Flammer specifically called out any star from the WWE Raw or SmackDown roster to face her for the championship on the show.

Bayley Makes AAA Debut At Rey de Reyes 2026

The AAA Reina de Reinas Championship match would kick off tonight’s show, with Flammer coming to the ring alone without her Las Toxicas stablemates Maravilla and La Hiedra.

The open challenge was answered by WWE Raw star Bayley, who received a great ovation from the fans in Puebla for what was her debut for the promotion.

Bayley had previously noted in an interview how she wanted to go to AAA, but unfortunately for her, her first outing was unsuccessful.

During the match, Maravilla and La Hiedra would make an appearance, distracting Bayley and helping Flammer score the win to retain the championship.

Flammer Makes History As AAA Reina De Reinas Champion

Tonight’s victory was also a very important one for Flammer, as with her retaining the Reina de Reinas Championship against Bayley on the show, she now makes history.

Flammer now officially reigns as the longest reigning AAA Reina de Reinas Champion, with her set to pass the previous record of 945 days, held by current AEW star Taya Valkyrie, who won the title back in 2014.

Flammer captured the title back on August 12, 2023, with her defeating Taya Valkyrie to capture the title, ending what was Taya’s fourth reign as champion after 476 days.

With Flammer now adding a victory over a definite future WWE Hall of Famer to her resume, her now record breaking run as champion continues to soar to new heights.

More Championship Aspirations For Bayley

Despite coming up short in her match for the Reina de Reinas Championship tonight, Bayley has her eyes set on a number of other championship titles.

After winning a Gauntlet match on this week’s episode of WWE Raw, Bayley earned a shot at the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, with her set to challenge AJ Lee for the title this Monday.

On top of the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, Bayley and her partner Lyra Valkyria have also been nagging Raw General Manager Adam Pearce for a shot at the Women’s Tag Team Championship.
