Former WWE Champion Ettore “Big E” Ewen of the New Day is set to star in a brand new Peacock comedy series entitled, “Laid.”
Since March 2022, Big E has been out of action with a serious neck injury. Despite doctors telling him that he may not wrestle again, the New Day member has stayed optimistic about his possible return.
While his in-ring return is uncertain, it looks like fans will not have to wait long before seeing the former WWE Champion back on their television screens.
Per Deadline, Big E is set to star in Peacock’s new comedy series, “Laid.” The cast for the show will also include Andre Hyland, Olivia Holt, David Denman, Finneas O’Connell, Chloe Fineman, Indya Moore and John Early.
“Laid” is based on the Australian series of the same name and will follow a woman who finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways. The lead woman must go back through her sex timeline to confront her past and move forward with her life.
The series is written and executive produced by Nahnatchka Khan, who was the showrunner for NBC’s Young Rock.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Big E’s new comedy series when they become available.
