Regardless of what you think of The Miz in the ring, he’ll always be able to say that he is a former WWE Champion, one of the most respected Intercontinental Champions in history, and defeated John Cena in the main event of WrestleMania.
During a recent interview with Barstool Sports’ KFC Radio show, The Miz opened up about how he feels as if he isn’t properly respected by WWE fans despite all that he has accomplished:
“Even in WWE, sometimes I feel I don’t get the respect I feel like I want, maybe that I feel I deserve. I’ve won every title there is to win, but yet sometimes I feel like — you know, you’ll read Twitter here and there and you’ll see all the negative comments. ‘You don’t deserve to be there, we hate you, you’re the worst.’ But honestly, I look at those as compliments because they motivate me, they drive me and it’s some nerd in his basement just typing away. So, I use it as fuel.”
During the same interview, The Miz spoke about how he had to move his family from Los Angeles to Texas for a year after multiple attempted break-ins at their home. You can read more about that by clicking here.
Speaking of The Miz, it has been reported that the former WWE Champion isn’t going to be cashing in his Money in the Bank contract this year after winning it last month at Hell in a Cell.
