It was reported yesterday that former WWE Champion and one half of The Bar, Sheamus, was dealing with an injury that kept him off Smackdown this week. However, the nature of the injury was not disclosed at the time, and it was unknown how long the Smackdown star would be out of action for.
However, more has been revealed in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. According to Dave Meltzer, Sheamus is said to be dealing with a concussion.
He adds that it is believed Sheamus suffered the injury when he teamed with Cesaro and Drew McIntyre in six-man tag team match against New Day. If that turns out to be true, then two top Smackdown stars were injured in the same match, with New Day’s Big E injuring his knee in the bout.
Whilst Sheamus’ injury has now been revealed, the nature of Daniel Bryan’s injury is reportedly being “closely guarded”. WrestleTalk will bring you more information if and when it becomes available.
