A former WWE star has opened up about their emotional response when they received a Legends offer earlier this year.
With Rusev having returned to WWE, it was also reported around the same time that the Raw star’s wife CJ Perry (fka Lana) had signed a WWE Legends deal.
Perry would speak about signing the WWE Legends deal during a recent appearance on TMZ Inside The Ring, revealing her shock at the offer, saying:
“I was shocked when they called me. My agent called from Paradigm, and I cried. I just couldn’t believe it.
“But now I’m having fun with it, so you’re going to have to get used to it (laughs). On my way to the WWE Hall of Fame.”
Recently, Perry launched her Identity Crisis podcast, with her husband (and WWE star) Rusev as her first guest.
Alongside the author Blake Northcott, Perry’s debut novel, Bulletproof Angel, is set to to be adapted for the big screen under an initiative with Paradigm, the talent agency that has represented her since April of this year.
Paradigm has been collaborating with Perry “across scripted, unscripted, and digital platforms”.
