Former WWE Executive Vice President of Live Event Production Scott Smoot has announced his return to WWE.
Smoot announced his return to the company earlier today on his LinkedIn page. He had been with the company from June 2014 until he was let go in September 2020 as part of WWE’s cuts during the COVID-19 pandemic. He wrote:
“Exciting and completely grateful to finally officially announce to all my return to WWE today!”
Scott Smoot will retain his position as Vice President of Live Event Production with the company.
WWE is set to resume their live events on July 16, which will begin a 25-city Summer tour. Aside from WrestleMania 37, this will be the first event WWE has had with a paying audience since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
