After the tragic death of her husband Eddie, WWE decided to give Vickie Guerrero an on-screen role. During her time with the company, Vickie served as a manager, most notably for Edge and Dolph Ziggler.
Always regarded as an excellent talker, Guerrero has not been seen on WWE TV in a full-time capacity since 2014.
With last night’s AEW: Dynamite taking place in Texas, All Elite Wrestling higher-ups decided to bring Guerrero in for a commentary position on next week’s episode of Dark.
The show, which is uploaded to YouTube every Tuesday night, has featured the likes of Tazz, Nyla Rose and Arn Anderson on commentary in recent weeks.
Taking to Instagram, AEW Executive Vice President Cody shared an image of he and Guerrero backstage ahead of last night’s show. Rhodes also confirmed that Guerrero will be doing Dark commentary.
The matches for Dark were taped before last night Dynamite in Dallas, and Dave Meltzer noted that Vickie Guerrero got a “monster reaction” when she was unveiled to the crowd.
