A former WWE star has sent a message to Tony Khan after attending AEW Worlds End 2024 in Orlando, Florida on Saturday night (December 28).
As previously reported, some surprising former WWE stars were in attendance at AEW’s final pay-per-view of 2024 – Worlds End at the Addition Financial Arena in Orlando.
The names in question were Tyler Breeze, Baron Corbin and current TNA Wrestling star AJ Francis (fka Top Dolla).
While the former two stars were a complete surprise to fans, Francis had been teasing attending both Worlds End and WWE’s Holiday Tour live event at the KIA Center in Orlando that same night, even putting out a poll to fans on Twitter.
After Francis’ attendance at Worlds End, the former Hit Row member took to Twitter to not only confirm Fightful Select’s report but also thank Tony Khan, QT Marshall and Shawn Dean for allowing him to attend the show.
Along with a picture of Francis’ “One Day Talent” backstage pass for AEW Worlds End, he wrote:
“One Day Talent”
Thank you to @TonyKhan @QTMarshall & @ShawnDean773 for allowing me to see some friends and have a fun night.
As has been reported, Francis is set to be out of contract with TNA Wrestling at the end of 2024, but despite linking himself with AEW and a return to WWE, he has also teased re-signing with his current employer.
We will provide further updates on Francis’ future as/when updates become available.
