Speaking to SK Wrestling, former WWE writer Vince Russo has shared his thoughts on the ongoing Roman Reigns Tribal Chief storyline, noting that he feels a recent segment on SmackDown didn’t make any sense.
Last week’s SmackDown saw Adam Pearce replace himself with Kevin Owens the Universal Championship match at Royal Rumble, and this is something that Vince Russo clearly wasn’t a big fan of:
“Two weeks ago, Paul Heyman pulled some strings to get Adam Pearce in a match. The next week, Adam Pearce claims that he is not cleared to wrestle and puts Kevin Owens in the match. What happened to the strings Paul Heyman pulled? They could put anything out there, it doesn’t matter if it makes sense or if it doesn’t. They’re at the point now where it doesn’t even matter. When I saw the end of SmackDown, I’m like, “Are you guys serious man?”
This comes after it was reported that Vince McMahon and Kevin Dunn were “livid” over a botch in the Adam Pearce and Roman Reigns segment on Friday’s episode of SmackDown, which you can read more about by clicking here.
