A former long-time WWE name wants Vince McMahon to have a proper send-off.
On July 22, the wrestling world was shocked when Vince McMahon unexpectedly retired from WWE.
This announcement ended an era that many believed would have at least years, if not decades, to go.
Speaking on his Monday Mailbag With Mike Chioda show, the ex-WWE senior official admitted that he found it sad that McMahon has yet to be given a farewell.
He said:
“I’m sure he’ll come back, hopefully in another year or so or maybe next year at WrestleMania. Give it a little bit of time and then hopefully he gets the right send-off he deserves for running a major company and employing people like myself for 35 years.”
At the time of Vince McMahon’s retirement, he was under investigation for having allegedly issued hush money payments worth over $13 million to former female employees that he’d been having affairs with.
McMahon’s retirement led to Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan being named co-CEOs of WWE, while Triple H took over as Head of Creative.
