Former WWE Star Reflects On Training After Departure WWE

Following his release, former WWE star Gable Steveson has reflected on his time training at the Performance Center.

After becoming an Olympic Gold Medalist in freestyle wrestling, Gable Steveson made the jump to professional wrestling and signed with WWE.

Despite three years with the company, Steveson only wrestled in 17 matches total with only one match televised.

Steveson was released from WWE deal in May 2024 and went on to have a brief stint pursuing professional football.

In a new interview with Ariel Helwani, Gable Steveson reflected on his time training in the WWE Performance Center. He said:

“Definitely some getting used to, but as time went on, I did get used to the fact of who I am.”

“A lot of it is you gotta be comfortable with yourself. If you’re not comfortable with yourself, then things won’t work.”

“Maybe there could have been a lot of things that I could have done better, yes, but I feel like I’m really comfortable with myself, and there’s really not much to say on that part.”

Gable Steveson’s last match in WWE took place in a dark match against Cedric Alexander during the February 9 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.

Minnesota Gopher Wrestling announced that Steveson will make his college wrestling return for one final season, which you can read at this link here.
