Former WWE Star Re-Signs With Major Company WWE

After becoming a double champion in the promotion, former WWE star Shane Haste has re-signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling.

At last month’s NJPW Dominion, Shane Haste and Mikey Nicholls of TMDK defeated Bishamon, Guerrillas of Destiny and Bullet Club’s KENTA & Chase Owens to win the IWGP Tag Team and NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Championships.

This marked TMDK’s second reign with the NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Titles and their first reign as IWGP Tag Team Champions.

Haste previously worked with WWE where he was a member of the Retribution stable as Slapjack, alongside Mustafa Ali, Donovan Dijak and Mason Madden, who were all previously free agents. Madden and his partner Mansoor recently signed with AEW/ROH.

Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that Shane Haste has re-signed with NJPW.

The outlet previously confirmed that Haste’s New Japan contract was set to expire in June. However, the two sides were able to reach an agreement to keep him with the company.

Haste recently made several AEW appearances, including on the AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door Zero Hour pre-show.

WrestleTalk would like to congratulate Shane Haste on his new deal with NJPW.
