A former WWE star was in attendance at last night’s AEW Dynamite that took place in Reading, Pennsylvania.
Last night’s show was the last Dynamite before AEW Full Gear, and there was a recognizable face in attendance.
Former WWE star Gene Snitsky posted on Instagram that he was at Dynamite – you can see his photos below.
In the caption of the post he specifically thanked Tony Khan, Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin and Prince Nana for their “gracious welcome”:
THANKS @aew @tonyrkhan @chrisjerichofozzy @sheltyb803 @princekingnana for the gracious welcome this evening! ITS NOT MY FAULT You guys rock!!!!!
Snitsky has also been backstage at some WWE shows that have taken place in Pennsylvania over the past few years, and he’s even made a couple of cameo appearances in online clips.
He was with WWE from 2003 to 2008, best remembered for his catchphrase: “It wasn’t my fault.”
In his last WWE match, Snitsky actually teamed with LA Knight, then going by his real name Shaun Ricker, in a loss to Cryme Tyme in a dark match at an ECW taping in December 2008 before he was released at his own request.
He still occasionally wrestles on the indies and had a couple of matches for Major League Wrestling (MLW) in 2023.
