Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet has revealed his goals after signing with All Elite Wrestling.
At AEW All In London, Ricochet made his debut with the company in the Casino Gauntlet Match.
Since then, the former WWE star has become one of the most consistently prominent acts on AEW programming.
This includes three separate chances at the AEW International Championship against Will Ospreay and Konosuke Takeshita.
Speaking to Fightful’s Iridian Fierro for WGN Radio 720, Ricochet expressed his desire to eventually win the AEW World Title. He said:
“What I want to accomplish is just continue to build the resume for Ricochet, continue to give the people you know something fun to watch,”
“Obviously, I came to AEW, I want to be champion. I wanted to be the International Champion. That didn’t happen… yet, but it will. I want to win the Continental Classic.”
“I want to be the AEW Champion. I want to be the Tag Team Champion. Obviously, those are goals that I think every wrestler needs to have.”
“But for me, again, I’ve been doing it so long that now, I want to tell good stories. I want to give people a good product.”
“I want to create art that will last and that people will talk about, really at the end of the day, that’s my main goal, to create art.”
“Art that will last a lifetime, and whether that’s a specific moment with a move, whether that’s a match, whether that’s a story, whether that’s a promo, whatever it is, I just want to continue to make art that will last.”
Ricochet has been announced for the Gold League in the AEW Continental Classic 2024 tournament.
Ricochet will face Claudio Castagnoli in his first tournament match on this Wednesday’s November 27 episode of AEW Dynamite.
