Former WWE Star Announces Retirement From In-Ring Competition WWE

A former WWE star has today announced that they will be retiring from in-ring competition in January 2026.

Former WWE star Fandango was released from WWE back in 2021 after he and Tyler Breeze had returned to the NXT brand, where they captured the NXT Tag Team Championship, the only title both men would hold in their career.

Following his release, Fandango, under the name JDC, has been a member of the TNA Wrestling roster, where he has been a member of the System stable alongside Moose, Brian Myers and Eddie Edwards.

However, it seems we only have two more months of JDC in TNA, as on tonight’s TNA IMPACT show, the former WWE star announced that he would be retiring from in-ring competition following TNA’s Genesis pay-per-view event, which takes place in January 2026 in Dallas.

JDC announced his retirement in Full Sail University, which served as the home for WWE NXT for many years.

The System are set for an eight-man tag team match at Turning Point tomorrow night against the Rascalz, with the Rascalz teasing that a ‘fourth Rascal’ will be joining them, which is seemingly teasing the return of recently released WWE star Dezmond Xavier (Wes Lee).
