A large number of WWE stars and producers were either released or furloughed back on Black Wednesday. One of those names was former WWE star, Billy Kidman. Kidman had been working as a producer with the company since 2010.
Dave Meltzer is currently reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Kidman is now back to work after having been furloughed. He noted that this had only occurred in the past week.
While a number of producers such as Pat Buck have made their way back to the company, many of them haven’t. Mike Rotundo and Gerald Brisco were among the biggest names to be released from the company as producers. Others, such as Lance Storm, have also not been brought back following their furloughs.
Kidman wrestled for WCW in the late 90s and early 2000s before moving to WWE following the purchase of WCW. From there he was primarily used in the cruiserweight and tag team divisions. With WWE he won the Cruiserweight Championship four times and the WWE Tag Team Championship once with Paul London. Since being hired as a producer, Kidman has made sporadic appearances on television.
