A former WWE star was reportedly backstage at tonight’s May 3 live episode of AEW Collision, emanating from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Tonight’s show took place at Adrian Phillips Theater at Boardwalk Hall, and was headlined by FTR vs Paragon in a 2/3 falls main event.
As reported by PWInsider, Maven Huffman was backstage at the show.
Maven joined WWE in 2001, winning the first ever season of Tough Enough and going on to become a three-time Hardcore Champion.
His tenure with the company ended when he was released in July 2005.
Maven has risen back to prominence over the past couple of years through his popular YouTube channel, with weekly videos in which he discusses his time as a wrestler and some of the workings of the wrestling business.
His most popular videos include the likes of ‘Former WWE Wrestler Reveals WWE Secrets’, ‘Which WWE Finishers are the Most Painful?’, ‘Rating WWE Wrestlers I Worked With’, ‘How Much Money did I Make as a WWE Wrestler?’, and ‘Rules WWE Wrestlers CANNOT Break’.
Just a couple of weeks ago, he collaborated with current AEW World Tag Team Champion Shelton Benjamin for a video titled ‘Shelton Benjamin Breaks Down His Most Iconic Moments’.
There are no further details as of yet in regards to a particular reason for Maven being backstage at tonight’s Collision.
