A former WWE star who was released by the company earlier this year in April has revealed he’s been cast in an upcoming Power Rangers inspired movie.
Lio Rush, who is confirmed to be heading to MLW too, announced he’s going to be in Legend of the White Dragon. You can find out more about the independent movie here.
Speaking with Wrestling Inc, Rush said:
“And be on the lookout for big projects to come in the future as well as the new upcoming film that I’m going to be a part of, ‘Legend of the White Dragon’, which I’m pretty excited about.
“It is actually a Power Rangers movie, so it’s kung fu times 100. They’re still casting. I’m just part of the cast. We haven’t gotten who’s going to be who yet, but I will be in the movie. There’s a chance [I could be a Power Ranger].”
Rush is a former NXT Cruiserweight Champion in WWE, but was let go by the company as part of its COVID-19 cost-cutting measures on April 15.
His time in WWE wasn’t without controversy but he’s back on the independent scene now having made an even bigger name for himself.
