He’s been in action movies. He’s in the WWE Hall of Fame. And, he’s been a governor. Jesse Ventura is now considering running for President of the United States.
OK, I've decided I'm going to test the waters. IF I were going to run for president, the GREEN party would be my first choice. I've endorsed the party and I'm testing the waters. #mondaythoughts #MondayMorning #MondayMotivaton #MondayMood

The current US President was involved in wrestling, but Donald Trump never actually got in the ring. Ventura running would mean a former commentator and in-ring performer would be running for office.
Given wrestlers are often asked to portray characters that are conceited, break the rules, and try to get one over on people, it seems they would make great politicians. Similar skill sets.
It would be a shock if Ventura won. The US typically doesn’t elect anyone not aligned with The Republican Party or Democratic Party.
So, will he actually run?
To be clear: I haven't filed anything. I authorized a letter of interest that was sent on my behalf to the Greens and I'm testing the waters for Green Party nomination. I'm an independent. I'm not a Democrat or a Republican because I know they're not the solution.

Of course, The US is incredibly divided and seemed interested in electing an outsider last time. However, maybe, Ventura can convince folks to vote for him because he’s an independent.
