A former WWE star has commented after competing in their first ever match in Japan following their release from the company.
WWE held it’s latest round of talent cuts back in April, with a number of names being released from the company.
One of the names released was Xia Li, who has recently begun returning to the ring on the independent circuit, as well as being set to make her debut for TNA under the name Lei Ying Lee.
Today, Xia, competing under her real name Xia Zhao, made her debut in Japan, competing at Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling’s Wrestle Princess V event.
Xia teamed up with Mizuki in tag team action against Yuki Kamifuku and VENY, with Xia picking up the pinfall victory for her team.
After the match, Xia took to Twitter to react to making her debut in Japan, saying:
