Former WWE star Steve Cutler debuted on last night’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling, with a new ring name of Steve Maclin.
As you can see below, a vignette aired on the show announcing Maclin’s arrival in the IMPACT Zone. The video shows him sitting with a stack of papers and drinking whiskey, much like the video he shared following his release from WWE at the start of this year.

Maclin spent much of his time with WWE in NXT as part of the Forgotten Sons tag team. Despite being called up to the main roster in 2020, the team failed to make any kind of impact, and was soon disbanded, with Jaxson Ryker being moved to Raw.
Reports at the time of his release from WWE were that Cutler had heat with Vince McMahon after contracting COVID-19 at the start of January 2021, and was never seen on WWE TV again.
Hopefully this is a fresh start for one of the many under-utilised former WWE stars.
