A former WWE star has reportedly departed AEW following the expiry of their contract with the company.
As reported by Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, EJ Nduka is now a free agent following the expiry of his contract with AEW.
Nduka was signed by AEW in 2023, making his debut for the company on AEW Dark in January of that year.
Following his debut the 36 year old competed exclusively in non-televised bouts throughout 2023 and much of 2024, but would eventually join the Ring of Honor brand, where he formed a tag team known as LeeJ with Lee Johnson.
Prior to joining AEW, Nduka was signed to WWE as a part of the NXT brand, but only made two in-ring appearances for the company in 2020 – neither of which were televised.
After being released from WWE in 2021, Nduka spent a year in Major League Wrestling – winning the MLW World Tag Team Championships along with Calvin Tankman and holding them for almost an entire year.
It’s unclear what is next for Nduka following his AEW exit but we will provide updates on his future when more information becomes available.
