A former WWE star has captured their first championship since being released from the company.

Trevor Lee (fka Cameron Grimes) has been busy competing on the independent scene since being let go by WWE back in April, competing for a range of promotions such as RevPro, Black Label Pro and Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling.

His latest indie excursion to Australia’s Integrity Sports Entertainment promotion has been an especially fruitful one for the former WWE star, as Lee captured the promotion’s Heavyweight Championship at their November 15 event.

Winning a four-way featuring Paris De Silva, Robbie Eagles and former champion Mad Maxx Ramirez, Lee would celebrate the occasion on Twitter afterwards.

Referencing the lengthy journey to compete in Australia, Lee wrote:

It took 10000 miles but I’ve won my first championship post WWE.

A fan in attendance at the event would share pictures of Lee’s triumph, leading to a response from the 31-year-old, which you can see down below.

The title is not only Lee’s first since his WWE release, but it is also his first in over two years – having last held the NXT North American Championship between April and June 2022.
