Former WWE Star Hints At AEW Appearance

Thus far in AEW, we’ve seen the likes of Eddie Kingston, Warhorse, Scorpio Sky and Jungle Boy answer Cody’s Rhodes TNT Championship open challenge, which has led to some great Dynamite matches.

On this week’s special episode of Dynamite on Saturday night, we are going to be seeing Cody Rhodes defend his title against Dark Order’s leader Brodie Lee, who is doing some fantastic work right now.

If Cody manages to successfully defend his TNT Championship this weekend, he may have another former WWE star to contend with over the coming weeks, as JTG has stated that he’s coming for Rhodes.

In a Twitter promo that was released last night, former WWE star JTG said that he’s coming for Cody and his TNT Championship. He said that while Cody may have Arn Anderson in his corner, he’ll have Shad Gaspard by his side.

“Cody Rhodes, I know you’re watching, so let me get my grill on the camera. I’m coming for that TNT Championship title. And on that night, you might have Arn Anderson, but I might have Shad Gaspard in my corner.”

JTG’s Cryme Tyme tag team partner Shad Gaspard tragically lost his life back in May, the week of AEW Double or Nothing. The promotion had a memorial graphic for Gaspard before their show.
