Former WWE star Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder) has hinted that he’s up for making more appearances in AEW in the future.
Cardona’s had two AEW matches in his career, and it seems like he was watching last night’s Dynamite very closely.
The self-crowned Internet Champion tweeted: “Need some backup Code Man? I still got the jacket. #AlwayzReady”.
This came after Cody Rhodes (or ‘Code Man’ if you’re Cardona) had lost a tag team match alongside Lee Johnson against QT Marshall and Anthony Ogogo.
Cardona’s first AEW match was a tag match with Rhodes when they beat Alex Reynolds and John Silver of the Dark Order in July 2020.
He then teamed with Cody’s brother Dustin, Marshall and Scorpio Sky against Brodie Lee, Colt Cabana, Evil Uno and Stu Grayson of Dark Order in a win at last year’s All Out pay-per-view.
