WWE/AEW
A former WWE star made their AEW Dynamite debut during tonight’s Title Tuesday episode in Jacksonville, Florida.
Just one day ahead of her 500th day as AEW TBS Champion Mercedes Moné put her title on the line yet again, with The CEO requesting that a Floridan competitor step up and challenge her for the title at Daily’s Place.
Answering the Moné’s call was Lacey Lane, who competed in WWE as Kayden Carter between 2018 – 2025.
Lane, who was released by WWE on May 2, 2025, previously competed twice on ROH in September, with her second match on the brand being an unsuccessful challenge of Mina Shirakawa’s ROH Women’s TV Championship.
Unfortunately for Lane it was a similar story on Dynamite as she failed to dethrone Moné for the TBS Title, with the champion securing the win via the Moné Maker.
Mone is now just nine days away from surpassing Jade Cargill’s record for the longest TBS Championship reign, which stands at 508 days, with that reign also the longest of any single AEW title run in the company’s history.
Lane is not currently signed to AEW as of the time of writing, but we will provide an update on her status in the company if anything changes.
