After stepping away from wrestling and effectively retiring, a former WWE and AEW talent is making a return to the ring.
In early 2021, after training and working at Booker T’s Reality of Wrestling promotion, Angela Quentina Arnold – better known as AQA – signed with WWE.
Under the new name Zayda Ramier, she had a run on NXT TV from March to June that year, working a total of five televised matches.
After some medical issues that led to her being removed from TV, she ended up being released from WWE in November 2021.
She then went on to sign with AEW in February 2022, but only worked a total of seven matches for the promotion before announcing she was stepping away from the wrestling business.
Her most recent match on record was against Athena for Warrior Wrestling in June 2022.
However, she is returning to action almost three years later, as New Texas Pro Wrestling announced she’ll be wrestling at its ‘Bat City’ show on June 1.
