Former WWE Star Makes Pitch To Triple H For Faction Return WWE

A former WWE star has made a pitch to Triple H for a notable early 2010’s faction to return to the company.

One of the most notable WWE storylines of the early 2010s was the arrival of The Nexus, with their statement-making debut on the June 7, 2010 episode of Raw a moment that still lives on in the memory of fans today.

While the group was short-lived, many of their alumni went on to achieve success in the company, including Daniel Bryan, Wade Barrett and Ryback.

Speaking to MuscleManMalcolm, another notable former Nexus member – Heath Slater reflected on his time in the group, while calling on Triple H to consider a return of the group.

Slater said:

“What really blows my mind about Nexus is that we were together for what, eight, nine months? People still talk about it 14 years later.”

“Come on, man. Listen, WWE. Hunter, think about it, baby. We’re not boys no more. We’re men. Imagine if we came back. Just imagine. I could definitely see it.”

Slater was one of the longest-serving former Nexus members in WWE up until his release from the company in 2020, with the former four-time WWE Tag Team Champion going on to work for TNA between 2020-2023.

The only former Nexus member still employed by WWE is Raw commentator Wade Barrett, however, he has not competed inside a ring since 2016.
