Former WWE Star Praises ‘Underappreciated’ Current Producer WWE

A former WWE star has high praise for a current producer in the company, calling him “underappreciated” in his role and as a performer in his own right.

Two of the interesting names who were available in WWE 2K25 this year as DLC characters were D’Lo Brown and Abyss.

Abyss currently works for WWE as a backstage producer/agent in addition to his previous time as a wrestler.

Brown had high praise for Abyss in both of those positions – in an interview with Rewind Recap Relive, he said:

“Abyss never, as a character, got the credit or due he deserved. First of all you take the character, he’s this larger than life individual, with this crazy hair and mask, and I think he got unfairly compared to Kane at the time, because he’s wearing a similar mask, similar hair.

“Chris as an individual is one of the most thought provoking, introspective people I’ve ever been around. He just has a knack for wrestling psychology that’s amazing. Even to this day he’s still making a living off it, being he’s a backstage agent for WWE. He’s teaching his craft to the next generation.

“Underappreciated as a talent, underappreciated as an agent, and one of the genuinely good people. Abyss, he got in the video game, so I’m thankful he’s getting his credit now, but he is underappreciated for what he is and has done for this business.”
