Former WWE Star Staying With IMPACT Wrestling

Former WWE Star Staying With IMPACT Wrestling IMPACT

With Triple H taking control of WWE creative back in July, many former WWE stars have made their returns to the company.

The most recent being former NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed, who returned to help The Miz defeat Dexter Lumis on the December 19 episode of Raw.

Several more former WWE stars have been speculated about returning to WWE, including Chelsea Gree and Matt Cardona (Zack Ryder).

One name that won’t be returning alongside them any time soon is Cardona’s tag team partner, Brian Myers.

Per Sports Illustrated, Myers has signed a contract extension with IMPACT Wrestling, keeping him with the company through 2023.

He said:

“This was an easy decision for me.

“It’s a place where my talent is going to get the most opportunity. That’s what is important to me. I think what we do in the ring is so precious.

“Father Time is eventually going to get us all, but I don’t want to stop doing what I’m doing until I have to. This is very important to me.”

Continuing on, Myers detailed his goals for his 2023 in IMPACT, noting that he hopes to get a student from his Create A Pro academy with him in IMPACT.

He said:

“One of my goals for 2023 is to get a Create A Pro talent with me at Impact Wrestling.

“Tony Khan has scooped up every single one so far, but I’d like to get to the point where there is a Create A Pro talent in every promotion, starting with Impact.”

Myers returned to IMPACT in July 2020 following his release from WWE in April 2020.
